Leaders are very important to are world. Some of the most important people of our world came from the first civilization known called Mesopotamia. The three most important leaders are: Nebuchadnezzar ll, Abraham, and the Assyrians. All three of these historical figures started out as ordinary people. The way they became important is they stayed true and followed their beliefs.
One of the first leaders was Nebuchadnezzar ll. Nebuchadnezzar ll was King Nabopolassar son. Nebuchadnezzar ll took his dad’s place as king in the Neo-Babylonian Empire. He ruled in Babylon. He also made a hanging garden for his wife who was from Persia. Nebuchadnezzar ll was born in Babylon on c. 634 BC. He distructed Solomon’s temple. He was important to his civilization because he restored the Babylonian Empire back to its glory. He was important to other civilizations because he sent Jews to exile. As stated in ancient.eu, Jews were sent into exile because of a battle, and because of their religion. Nebuchadnezzar ll was fearful of their religion because he thought that since they didn’t worship his Gods that the Jews would make his Gods angry. Some Jews became slaves or servants. Nebuchadnezzar ll reigned from ~605 BC-562 BC~. He died in Babylon on 562 BC. He was a good ruler.
Abraham was also a good leader. Abraham was a monotheistic. He believed in the one god, god the creator. He was born in Sumerian city of Ur. According to britannica.com, god came to him in a dream and told him to lead his people to the promised land. God also told Abraham to spread the message. His religions were Judaism, christianity, and Islam. He was important to his civilization because he showed them the one and only real God. According to history4kids.com, once they got to the promised land Abraham started to tell them about the real God. Abraham’s people were his family. As they settled there the 12 tribes of Israel were born. He is important to other civilizations because he showed them the promised land. According to the book Ancient civilizations volume 8, he was the first one of his people to be a monotheistic and lead people to the promised land. The promised land soon become Canaan. He was a good leader.
One of the last leaders were the Assyrians. The Assyrians were an Army. According to ducksters.com, the Assyrians fought and traded. The were also known as the great traders. The traveled a lot because the were on and off with being in rule. The Assyrians were very important to their civilization.
